Major design attributes
- Single pass on raw gas side (tube side), Two pass on Flue gas side.
- High flue gas inlet temperature (> 450 C).
- Large number of tubes (> 2800), 38.1 mm OD tubes.
- Support legs with appropriately sized slotted holes.
- Major material specification : Low alloy steel : 2.25 Cr 1 Mo and expansion joint in SS304.
Complete equipment with support structure and expansion bellow modelled in 3D, fabrication drawings and MTO from same model.
FEA of Expansion joint in second pass on shell side to take care of differential thermal expansion between shell and tubes.
